Thomas B. Hager

Hager Engineering was founded in 1992 by its principal, Thomas B. Hager P.E.

Mr. Hager has extensive experience in the analysis, design, administration and construction of all types of bridges. He holds an engineering degree from Cornell University and is a registered professional engineer in New York State and Pennsylvania.

For fifteen years, as a project engineer, project manager and estimator for S.J. Groves Co., he was personally involved in the construction of over 50 highway bridges in New York State including those on the Rochester Outer Loop from Kendrick Road to Winton Road. As an estimator, he analyzed hundreds of others in New York and other states throughout the Northeast. He was Project Engineer for the construction of the concrete portion of the Tioga-Hammond Dam. That Corp of Engineers project was located in Tioga, PA. and involved over 100,000 cubic yards of structural concrete.

For eight years Mr. Thomas Hager was Commissioner of Public Works for Steuben County. In that position he was responsible for the maintenance of 382 bridges. And during that eight year period over 150 of those bridges were rehabilitated or reconstructed.

Mr. Hager’s background in bridge design, construction and public administration provide him with a unique ability to provide designs which are appropriate and cost effective.

Bradford J. Hager

Brad has many years of experience in Drafting and Computer Drafting/Design. He has an Electrical/Mechanical Drafting Degree from SUNY Delhi.

In the years before joining his father in the engineering business, Brad worked in various job shops for Gunlocke, Panelogic, Corning Incorporated and Morrison Knudson. He worked in the engineering department providing production drawings for electrical control panels, electrical schematics for fiber optic towers and for electrical and mechanical components for the production of subway and railcars. He also worked in the commercial wood working industry providing computer drawings for the production of office furniture and was a programmer for the company’s first CNC router.

Working for Hunt Engineering from 1992-1997 prepared him for the civil, structural and survey experience needed to join the Hager Engineering Company.

Brad’s background in many different engineering disciplines provides him with the knowledge and expertise to lead the Hager Engineering Company into the high tech computer age.
